Formerly known as The Cosmopolitan Hotel, a local watering hole and eating establishment, has been a main structure throughout the history of Castor. It is sitting on the corner of what locals call Main St(really an avenue) - Grande Avenue and the tree lined boulevard ( Beaver ST). It has provided over the 100 plus years of housing, entertainment and meals for the many patrons that have visited or stayed in the hotel. This structure will need a good number of trades people to bring it back to its former glory when it was built in 1910. People have traveled from afar to take part in the local atmosphere of the tavern and restaurant with the local "East wall gang" telling their stories to the visitors, eager to listen to them, some true, some embellished or just some made up. With the time and passing of all of the "East wall gang", there left a void in the local community as there were no more stories being told and there was no place to seek advice, as most of the gang held their consulting offices in the tavern. Lets try to not see a landmark go to ruins and think about investing today.
